Located on the 5th and top floor of the building, the Apartment at the Opera is on one of Rome’s grand boulevards. It is a 10 minute walk from the Trevi Fountain and 15 minutes from the Piazza di Spagna. The Opera House and a daily market are also close by. Transportation to downtown Rome, including the bus #64 which runs through the city center, is just across the street.
The extensive art collection in the apartment mixes tribal and contemporary pieces suited to modern tastes. Enhanced by mirrors in the cupboards and on the walls, this art collection dominates every room. Floor-to-ceiling bookcases in the library lead to a painted ceiling that dates back to 1850.
The apartment has 1300 square feet of indoor space and is fully carpeted, with double pane glass windows to limit street noise. The entrance hall leads to a split-level living room, with fine furniture pieces and built-in banquettes. The modern kitchen is fully equipped, and the dining room is furnished with travertine marble and antique table and chairs.
The large master bedroom has a queen-sized bed, built-in desk, ample closet space, and many windows. The master bathroom is just off the main hallway. A double pull-out sofa bed is located in the library, along with a desk area and ensuite bathroom with shower.
An original cast-iron staircase next to the front door leads to the rooftop terrace (800 square feet), complete with a dining table for six, two lounge chairs, and extensive plantings.
The apartment has a phone/fax, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, American electric coffeemaker, CD player, TV, air conditioning, and independent heating. The building has an elevator. The weekly price includes 3 hours of maid service a week. Additional maid service is available, with prior arrangement, for an extra charge.
There are different weekly prices for 2 people and 3/4 people.
