Casa Tufo is located in the hills halfway between Positano and Sorrento, and features stunning views of the Mediterranean. The house is reached via a tree-lined drive filled with olive trees and flowers.

The Villa (sleeps 9) was constructed using the local volcanic stone, and is furnished with antiques, prints, watercolors and ceramic works that preserve the traditions of the region of Campania.

The first floor contains the living room, dining room, kitchen, master bedroom and bathroom, and the powder room. The living room has a satellite TV, working fireplace, and doors that open to a vine-covered terrace. The dining room has seating for 10-12 people. The kitchen is equipped with a dining table, several areas for food preparation, dishwasher, and American coffeemaker. A glass-paned door provides access from the kitchen to an outdoor pergola that seats a total of 16 people. The master bedroom is located off of the living room, and is air-conditioned. The ensuite bathroom is filled with old hand-painted tiles.

There are two bedrooms located on the second floor, and they can be reached by an inside staircase. One bedroom can be either a double or a twin, and it has a large window with stunning views of the Mediterranean. The other bedroom is a single, and has a iron bed frame from the 18th century. Both rooms have an ensuite bathroom and doors that open onto a terrace with lounge chairs.

There are two double or twin bedrooms located on the third floor, and can be reached from an outside staircase on the second floor terrace. Both bedrooms are air-conditioned and have ensuite bathrooms.

The Cottage (sleeps 2+1) is available only in the mid and high seasons, and is never rented separately from the main villa. The Cottage is located in the garden about 200 feet from the Villa. It has one double or twin bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, and a living room with a sofabed for one person. It is air-conditioned.

The swimming pool is set in a clearing in the garden. It is an above ground pool with decking around it and ample space nearby for relaxing. The gardens are very well maintained and extensive.

There is an English-speaking housekeeper at the villa, and daily maid service (except Sunday) is included in the rental price. For an extra charge, she will prepare lunch or dinner for guests.

Positano is located about 20 minutes away by car, and Sorrento is a 30-minute drive away. From Sorrento, guests can take a ferry to Naples, Capri and Ischia. Train service to Naples, Pompeii, and Ercolano can be found in Piano di Sorrento, a 15-minute drive away. There is a trattoria, bar, and several small stores within walking distance, as is a bus stop with service to Positano and Sorrento. A car is recommended.
