Located in a beautiful position overlooking vineyards and olive groves, this farmhouse is part of a working wine and olive oil producing estate. The wines produced are some of the best in the Chianti Classico area, and the wine cellars can be toured. The estate is located near the small hamlet of Volpaia, outside its fortified walls that date to medieval times.

This house develops on several levels and was carefully restored by the owners. On the ground floor is a lovely sitting room and fireplace with terracotta tile floors and an arched stone ceiling. The dining room is also on this floor, and both rooms have French windows opening onto the garden. The kitchen is on a slightly higher level and opens onto a furnished patio ideal for al fresco dining.

Three bedrooms are located on the second floor. There is a twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom and doors opening onto the garden. There are also a double bedroom and twin bedroom on this floor that share a bathroom. On the third floor there is an additional twin bedroom, as well as a single bedroom suitable for a child.

The hamlet of Volpaia, located about a mile away up a hill, has a couple of restaurants and the headquarters of the wine estate where their products can be purchased. Casetto di Volpaia is located just over 4 miles from Radda in Chianti, the nearest village with shops and a bank. Siena is about 25 miles away, and Florence about a 45 minute drive.

Cooking classes can be arranged upon request for the guests. There is a tennis court in the center of the village of Volpaia that is available upon request. Maid service is included for 4 hours a day, 5 days a week.
