Casita is a cozy cottage on a manicured estate where the owners occupy an historic villa nearby. The Casita is secluded away into a hedge-hidden corner of the carefully tended garden, affording privacy in a scenic setting.
The romantic sun-drenched cottage for two is ideal for honeymooners or couples wanting a getaway. It feels secluded but it is just a few miles from the glorious city of Siena.
Casita is a cheerful stone home. The living room is a glassed-in solarium that is partially shaded by stately trees. The spotless kitchen/dining room is bright and airy with white-washed walls and painted beams. Terracotta tiles pave the floors. The kitchen is compact but comes with everything needed for meal preparations. There is also a washing machine included.
The bedroom is homey and inviting, with a small double bed and a spacious ensuite bathroom with a shower and glass mosaic tiles. Heating is included in the price. Outside the cottage are lawn chairs and a bistro table for relaxing and dining.
While the owners live on the estate, they are not intrusive and the cottage is hidden away in a corner of the garden. It is an oasis of greenery and flowers and shady trees. Guests have a private entrance gate and parking area.
A swimming pool, shared with the owners, is enclosed by a wall, cypress trees, and hedgerows. Plants and shrubs are cleverly landscaped to provide quiet corners near the pool and throughout the grounds. There is a covered pavilion for shade.
The English-speaking owner, a painter, is passionate about the area and willing to share her knowledge and recommendations with guests. She will organize day trips, offer local insights and make restaurant suggestions. She will also act as a guide to Siena's museums and art galleries, if desired.
A cute village is located just a mile from the property, where basic services and a restaurant can be found. Siena is only a few minutes further away through the captivating Tuscan countryside.
