This exceptional villa is located west of Montalcino, in an area known for its beauty and its wines, especially the famous Brunello di Montalcino. Surrounded by vineyards, olive trees, and cypresses, the villa is in a spectacular position and enjoys views of the surrounding hills.

Fontanelle was restored and furnished to a very high standard by its owner, a well-known Italian interior designer. The rooms are painted and furnished throughout in warm yellows and terracottas, which blend with the brick tiled floors, exposed beams, and sunny open spaces. The house has been featured in several books and magazines, including House and Garden, Elle Décor, and Tuscan Interiors.

A magnificent living room with vaulted ceilings, a fireplace, and French windows is the highlight of the first floor. The living room opens to a pretty terrace in back of the house, with views over the countryside. Adjacent to this terrace is a covered dining terrace, which also has wonderful views. The dining room also opens to this terrace from the villa. In a separate wing on this floor, there is a sitting room, and a double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom that is reached via a staircase.

On the second floor, there are two double bedrooms with king-size 4-poster beds and ensuite bathrooms. There is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, each with its own ensuite bathroom. A sitting room with a TV and a fireplace are also on this floor.

There is a separate Guest House close to the main villa that is available on request for an extra charge. It accommodates 6 people in two double bedrooms, one twin bedroom, and three bathrooms.

The large swimming pool is in a lovely setting, a short walk from the villa. It is surrounded by olive and cypress trees, and has fantastic views. There is a deck area for sunbathing.Maid service is included 3 hours a day, 5 days a week. A cook is available on request.
