Fonte Caresino is an independent farmhouse that was carefully restored by the owner, who is an architect. In the restoration, the owner maintained the original structure of the house but furnished it in a comfortable, modern style. Throughout the house are woodbeamed ceilings, cotto floors, and whitewashed walls in the typical Tuscan tradition. The farmhouse is situated on a hillside and follows its curves, developing on different levels and with several entrances. Fonte Caresino is secluded and peaceful, but is still within easy driving distance of the major areas of Chianti and the rest of Tuscany. Gaiole in Chianti with facilities, shops and restaurants is only a few miles away, while Siena is about thirty minutes by car.

The entrance to Fonte Caresino leads to a spacious living room with an open hearth fireplace and linen upholstered sofas. From the living room there is a passageway lined with closets that leads to two separate twin bedrooms that share one bathroom. A double bedroom is next to the living room and has its own full bathroom.

Two short flights of stairs lead down to a spacious double bedroom with sitting area that has its own bathroom with a bathtub. Down one step from this landing is another living room with a fireplace and panoramic glass doors that open onto the side of the house.

One floor below there is a luminous dining room with two sets of glass doors on opposite sides that lead outside. The stairs leading to the dining room do not have a handrail and are not suitable for small children. Immediately outside of the dining room are charming grassy areas with garden furniture and a barbeque for guest use. Next to the dining room is a fully equipped kitchen with gas range, oven, dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator with freezer.

The swimming pool (18x36 feet) is across the lawn and down a flight of stairs. There is a covered pergola next to the pool for relaxing in the shade.

Fonte Caresino has a satellite TV with VHS and a CD player. There is maid service for three times a week at an extra cost; the maid service must be taken. The maid is available to do the laundry for an extra charge. The house has both a landline telephone and a cell phone that is available for guest use, each with a security deposit.
