Il Giardino is situated high in the village of Positano, the center of the Amalfi Coast and internationally renowned as an important tourist and commercial resort. Positano also has a small harbor with ferryboat service to the islands of Capri and Ischia.

From Il Giardino, there are spectacular views over its garden, the village of Positano, the coastline, and the sea. This property takes its name from the beautiful terraced garden in the front of the villa, which is almost unique in a steep village like Positano. At the bottom of the main garden there is an “orto” (vegetable garden) for guests’ use.

The interiors of the villa are comfortably furnished, and facilities include a fax machine and satellite TV. A particular feature of the house is the light-filled living and dining rooms on the first floor, which open through French doors to a beautiful terrace overlooking the garden and the sea.

Other first floor rooms include an entrance hall, kitchen and bathroom. An extra double bedroom is available for an additional charge, and increases the capacity of the villa from 8 to 10 people.

The second floor contains a master double bedroom with a small sitting room and bathroom, a double bedroom and a bathroom. Another group of rooms include a twin bedroom, double bedroom, and bathroom. Each bedroom has a private terrace. Air conditioning is available in the bedrooms for an extra charge.

Il Giardino is located in the historic part of Positano, and thus is not reachable directly by car. The nearest parking area is about 1000 feet away, and the rental of a parking space for an extra charge can be arranged in advance. With advance notice, assistance with carrying luggage at arrival and departure can also be arranged. It is possible to walk down to the beach on a narrow, winding road. The owner spends part of the year in an independent apartment in the lower level of the villa, with a separate entrance.

Maid service is included in the price 3 hours a day, 5 days a week. Additional maid service and a cook are available for an extra charge. The villa is also equipped with a telephone, washing machine, and dishwasher.
