Il Ginestreto is a lovely ancient farmhouse dating back to the 15th century. Its setting is spectacular, with olive groves surrounding the house, and many garden areas filled with flowers and plantings. There are fabulous views to the Sienese countryside and wooded hillsides above.

The farmhouse was constructed of local stone in the typical Tuscan style. It has terra cotta tile floors and beamed wood ceilings which give the place a rustic feel. Two of the bedrooms are in a separate building adjacent to the main farmhouse.

The furnishings are very comfortable and done with great taste and understated luxury befitting a country house. Antique furniture and artwork decorate the rooms. All but one of the bathrooms are ensuite. The rooms are quite spacious and there are ample places inside and outside for relaxing.

The house has a telephone, TV, washing machine, 2 dishwashers, microwave oven, baby crib and central heating. Maid service and a cook to prepare meals can be arranged.

In addition to the tennis court on the property, horseback riding stables and extensive hiking trails are near the farmhouse. The location of Il Ginestreto near Siena is ideal for touring much of Tuscany. It is also convenient to the Superstrada linking Florence and Siena.

There is flexibility in arrival and departure dates. Il Ginestreto is usually not available at Christmas, Easter, or in the month of August.
