La Bencontenta is a traditional Venetian farmhouse on an agricultural estate dating back to the 13th century. It is surrounded by private gardens and an orchard, and guests can enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding fields and hills from the outdoor sitting and dining area. The estate cultivates organic products and also has racehorse trotters that are trained nearby. The farmhouse is just a five minute drive from a golf club, which is considered the best in the area, and La Bencontenta guests receive reduced green fees.

The farmhouse was fully restored in 2003 but maintains its original features. It still has its original wood-beamed ceilings, and is very tastefully decorated with family antiques. The rooms are illuminated by large windows that provide magnificent views of the gardens and the countryside beyond. All rooms have window screens.

The spacious bedrooms all have ensuite bathrooms, ample closet space, and windows to the views. There are two twin bedrooms on the first floor, and one has a handicapped accessible bathroom. On the second floor are the double bedroom and a twin bedroom, as well as a very large open space that can serve as a meeting place for large groups or as a playroom for children. Two more twin bedrooms are located on the third floor. An additional bed can be arranged in one of the twin bedrooms for an extra charge. There is also a twin bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and shower in the pool house that can be rented, to bring the total to 14 or 15 people.

The large private swimming pool is surrounded by the lovely lawn and gardens. The pool house can be used as a dressing room and has a bathroom. There is also a typical covered “loggia” in front of the house for outdoor dining, a barbeque, and a ping-pong table.

The farmhouse is equipped with telephone, Wi-Fi high-speed Internet access, satellite TV, DVD player, CD/stereo, dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer, washing machine, clothes dryer, American coffee maker, and independent heating. Air conditioning and heating are available for an extra charge.

La Bencontenta is ideally located for experiencing the immense cultural wealth of the Veneto. Possible day trips include Padua, Venice, Vicenza, Verona, and Lake Garda.
