La Lodola is a complex of seven apartments developed from the restoration of an 18th century farmhouse. The farmhouse is in a very private location on a raised plateau, which offers 360 degree views over the surrounding countryside. The farmhouse’s restoration was completed in 2004 with high quality materials and abundant use of travertine marble from local quarries. The apartments are elegantly furnished with original antique pieces, Persian carpets, and restored local rustic furniture. The walls are painted warm pastel colors with intricate hand-painted designs, and the floors and bathrooms are done in travertine marble. Each apartment has a sofabed in the living room for one additional person, for an extra charge.

Apartments Acacia, on the first floor, and La Quercia, on the second floor, are each for two people. Both have lovely interiors. Acacia has a fresco and original brick and stone arches, and La Quercia has wood-beamed ceilings and cotto ceiling tiles. Each has a kitchen complete with gas range, electric oven, and fridge with freezer. La Quercia also has a dishwasher.

Apartments Il Gelso and Il Canneto, both on the first floor, are each for four people. Both have a large living room with fireplace. Each has a kitchen complete with gas range, electric oven, and fridge with a freezer. Il Gelso also has a dishwasher. Each apartment has a beautiful interior. Il Gelso has high, wood-beamed ceilings and large windows to bring in light, and Il Canneto has stone walls and panoramic glass doors.

Apartments La Vite and Il Leccio are each for four people but have one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. La Vite develops on two floors. They are similar in interior design to the other apartments.

Each apartment has its own private garden area that is paved and furnished. There is a swimming pool, with solarium and a paved and furnished barbecue area, that is shared by all La Lodola guests.

La Lodola is conveniently located near Rapolano, famous for its thermal spa and mud baths. Guests at La Lodola receive a discount at the spa. Siena is twelve miles away, and Florence, Arezzo, Cortona, Lucignano, Monte San Savino, and Perugia are all an hour’s drive.

Each apartment is equipped with satellite TV and window screens. Independent central heating and gas is payable on consumption. A utilities room with washer and dryer are available, with a charge of 5 Euros per load. One apartment is occupied by the Reception, where someone is generally present during the day and guests can purchase Chianti Classico DOCG wine and extra virgin olive oil produced by the owners at another farm they own nearby.
