La Veduta has a spectacular setting on the grounds of an historic estate 15 minutes from Orvieto, Umbria. There are unbelievable views of Orvieto-its magnificent cathedral, medieval walls and buildings, and incredible hilltop position.

The farmhouse was built in the 1500's and lived in by generations of farm families until 2003. A major restoration was completed in 2006 that modernized the interior. The farmhouse has two parts: a Main House, which sleeps 8, and a Suite that sleeps 2. The Suite is attached to the Main House but is not connected internally. The farmhouse has maintained its original terracotta floors and working fireplace in the kitchen. All ceilings are wood beamed and the furniture is comfortable and tasteful. All rooms have at least 2 windows, bringing in light throughout.

The first floor has an eat-in kitchen with working fireplace that adjoins the living room with a large TV and views of the countryside. There is a double bedroom and a bedroom with two bunk beds on this floor. The second floor has a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. All bedrooms have fans and ensuite bathrooms.

The Suite has the feel of a separate apartment. There is a spacious living room with many windows and doors to the garden. There is a fully equipped kitchen corner and a bathroom with shower on the first floor. Stairs lead to the second floor double bedroom with ensuite bathroom.

La Veduta has a large and comfortable outside living room next to the swimming pool; the spectacular view of Orvieto can be enjoyed from here. The space is well furnished, and guests will enjoy relaxing and dining here. There is a vegetable garden whose bounty is available to the guests, and a garden filled with olive trees.

Orvieto is an excellent location for touring other areas of Umbria and the Tuscany region south of Siena. There is regular train service to Rome and Florence from Orvieto.
