Limonaia is a charming apartment for four located in the lower level of Villa Bibbona,
a luxury beach villa situated on a gated private estate just on the edge of the seaside village of Marina di Bibbona in the area called the Maremma. Limonaia has a totally separate entrance and outside space so it is rented independently of the villa, but it can also be used for overflow villa guests to bring the villa's total to 16 people.

The apartment is one hour south of Pisa, and an hour and half from Florence. Other towns that can easily be reached in an hour or less include Volterra, San Gimignano, Cecina and Massa Marittima. The landscape of this area of Tuscany includes unspoiled beaches fringed with dunes, set against distant hills with charming villages on their crests. The flat areas between the beaches and the hills used to be the home of cattle ranches where local cowboys served as herders. Today this land has mostly become well-tended vineyards producing some of the most prestigious wines in Italy such as Sassicaia and Ornellaia. Just ten minutes from the apartment is the town of Bolgheri, home to world -class wine production and innovation.

The apartment is all on one floor, accessed from a covered outdoor terrace that faces an orchard and garden. The main room is a well-decorated open plan area, with a living room, kitchen and dining table. There are four large glass doors that open onto the terrace, bringing in light and the garden view. At each end of this room is an entrance to a bedroom. The double bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a bathtub and shower fixture. The twin bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a shower.

The interior decoration has been accomplished very tastefully. The walls are painted with accent colors, the furniture is comfortable and stylish, and the appliances and bathroom fixtures are of high quality. The apartment is equipped with a telephone, washing machine, plasma TV, dishwasher, small refrigerator with freezer, microwave oven, iron and ironing board, pool towels, and a hairdryer. There is a high-speed Internet connection, and air conditioning throughout the apartment. Other services available for an extra charge include a baby kit, first shopping for groceries, household help, extra towels, and heating. Parking is available on the estate grounds.

The outdoor terrace, which runs the length of the apartment, has an area for dining with a table and chairs, and an area for relaxing. The nearby orchard serves as the garden for Limonaia. A private path leads through a pine tree forest grove to the dunes and the beach. Guests have a private cabana with lounge chairs and umbrellas which can be locked, so beach equipment can be left there.

For two couples or a family who wish to spend time at the beach, Limonaia has a lot to offer.
