Montevigna is a beautiful farmhouse situated high in the hills northeast of Lucca, above the nearby village of Marlia. The city of Lucca is six miles from the house. From the property, there are spectacular views over the surrounding countryside with its olive groves. Several famous historic villas, with magnificent parks, can also be seen on the plain below.

This stone-built farmhouse was tastefully restored in a very appealing country style. The original wood beam ceilings were retained, and antique terracotta floor files installed. The interiors were furnished in a very charming and comfortable way, with warm colors for the walls. Montevigna's unique style has been portrayed in several interior design magazines. The kitchen has a very authentic farmhouse feel along with modern conveniences. The house has three fireplaces.

The large kitchen/dining room with its open fireplace, and the living room on the first floor, have doors opening to the outside. There is a bathroom with a shower on this floor. On the second floor, there is another living room which opens to a terrace with stairs leading to the garden.

The three twin bedrooms are on this floor, one with an ensuite bathroom (bathtub and shower) and a bathroom with a shower. The third floor contains a double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, a small sitting room, and a small kitchen pantry.

Maid service is included in the price 3 hours a day, 5 days a week. A cook is available on request for an extra charge. The farmhouse is equipped with a telephone, washing machine, dishwasher, TV (Italian), VCR, stereo/CD player, and independent heating.
