This very attractive and elegant villa was originally built in the second half of the 19th century, and has been completely renovated. It is located only a few miles from Greve in Chianti on the famous Chianti road that links Florence and Siena. The views from the property are like a picture of a typical Chianti landscape. As far as the eye can see, there are gently rolling hills covered with vineyards and olive groves.

Villa Montoro, mid-way between Florence and Siena, is an ideal base for sightseeing and trips to both the larger Tuscan cities and the smaller towns. The interiors of the house have wood beam ceilings and terracotta floors, and are furnished with comfortable, traditional furniture and antiques. There is a very well-equipped kitchen (including a large American refrigerator/freezer with ice/water dispenser) and modern bathrooms.

The first floor has an entrance hall which opens to a sun terrace with a dining table and chairs. There is a lovely living room, a smaller TV room, a kitchen, and a dining room that opens to a small terrace with a dining area. The second floor has a twin bedroom, three double bedrooms, and a twin bedroom opening to a small covered terrace. There are two bathrooms with showers and one bathroom with a bathtub.

The Guest House is connected to the main house, and is never rented separately. It is available on request for an extra payment to increase the capacity of the property from 10 to 14. It has a fully equipped kitchen and washing machine.

The swimming pool (40x20 feet) is situated within a well-maintained garden with trees and flower beds. It is surrounded by a terrace with a changing room and outdoor shower, and takes advantage of the beautiful views.

Maid service is included in the price 2 hours a day, 5 days per week, and a cook is available on request for an extra charge. The owner has a separate apartment on the estate.

Montoro has a telephone, high speed Internet line, washing machine, satellite TV, dishwasher, small electric appliances, microwave oven, a barbeque, and central heating.
