Rocca 1 is one of two comfortable apartments in a restored farmhouse on an estate in the heart of the Chianti Classico region very close to Castellina in Chianti. The owners live in the main part of the farmhouse but will not interfere with their guests' privacy. The estate is surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and woodlands, and produces excellent Chianti Classico wine and olive oil. The views from the grounds of the Chianti hills and vineyards are fabulous.

Rocca 1 has its own large, private, and furnished terrace that extends the length of the apartment. This is a lovely place to dine or relax al fresco. Guests enter from the terrace through panoramic glass doors that lead to a living room that is separated from the dining room by an open archway. The kitchen occupies one wall of the dining room and is quite spacious. It is fully equipped with a gas range, electric oven, refrigerator with freezer, and a dishwasher.

A door in the dining room opens into a hallway. Two doors on the left in the hallway open into the single bedroom and into a complete bathroom with shower. At the end of the hallway is a double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom with a shower. This bedroom has a door that opens onto the front terrace. The apartment is comfortably and simply furnished in classical Tuscan style, and has wood-beamed ceilings and cotto floors.

Rocca 1 has central gas heating (extra charge), radio/CD player, barbeque, baby cot, high chair and an American coffee machine. There is an 18 x 42 foot swimming pool shared by both apartments and the owners. There is a shaded parking area under a centuries-old oak tree near the terrace for the apartment.
