Apartment San Teodoro is a spacious, well-furnished luxury penthouse apartment in the historic district of Rome that is well suited for a family or group of friends wishing to be in the heart of the old city.  It is located close to Piazza Venezia, the Campodoglio, and the Forum.  Virtually all of the important sites of the Eternal City are within a short walk of the apartment.

The apartment develops on the third and fourth floor of a small and charming building that does not have an elevator.  The owners utilized high-quality materials in the restoration of the apartment, such as parquet floors and double pane glass windows.  It is furnished with a mix of antiques and pieces of modern design.  A special feature of Apartment San Teodoro is the large roof garden terrace, which has spectacular views of the Church of San Teodoro, ruins of the Roman Forum and the rooftops of old Rome. 

The main floor contains an entrance hall, living and dining rooms, kitchen, three bedrooms and all three bathrooms.  The dining room is adjacent to the kitchen and connects to the living room.  It has a table that seats up to ten people and the walls are filled with a bookcase and closed wood cabinets.  The large living room is comfortably furnished with several seating areas.  It has a fireplace and an entertainment console. 

The kitchen is fully equipped with top-level appliances, and is decorated with blue and white hand painted Vietri ceramics.  It includes a custom built-in table near the window, a built-in refrigerator/freezer and oven.  The kitchen has a glass door that leads to a small balcony.

On the main floor there is a large master double bedroom, with an ensuite bathroom.  There are two additional double bedrooms, each of which can be a twin bedded room upon request.  Near the bedrooms are two bathrooms, one with a bathtub and one with a shower.  All the bathroom fixtures are modern and of top quality, and the tiles are hand-painted Vietri ceramics. 

There are staircases to the top floor on either side of the apartment.  From the living room, there is an open staircase that leads to a light-filled room that faces the terrace and has a door that leads outside.  The room can be arranged as a study/family room or can be converted into an extra bedroom (single or twin).  On the other side of the apartment, a back staircase leads to the maid’s workroom with the laundry room on a mezzanine level.  The stairs then lead to the top floor where there is a bedroom with a double bed (full size).  The guests on the top floor use the bathrooms on the floor below.

The 1300 square foot terrace is a wonderful space that serves as an outside living and dining area while taking advantage of Rome’s warm weather.  The terrace has a dining area for ten people, comfortable outdoor furniture, a large umbrella, and a small, complete kitchen corner covered by a pergola.  The views of historic Rome from there are very special and the terrace has lovely lighting for evening meals.
