This magnificent apartment in the historical center of Siena is part of the restored attic of an ancient palace, complete with the tower dating to the 1100's. It is comfortable and spacious, and because of its location in a pedestrian area of Siena, it is very quiet.
The private entrance is a spacious hall and a modern wrought iron and pietraserena staircase that leads to an upper floor. The stairs open into a large, luminous living room furnished with antiques and family portraits, including an 18th century piano. The ceiling is high and natural light comes in through a skylight. At the end of the living room, an open passageway leads down two steps to a fully-equipped kitchen of modern design. There is a large central dining table and a fireplace in the vast kitchen, and windows offering views of the rooftops of Siena and the countryside in the distance.
A hallway leads from the kitchen to the bedrooms and bathrooms. The master bedroom walls are done in an antique rose hue, and it has antique furniture. One twin bedroom has light blue walls and a skylight, and the other has twin beds in an L-shaped configuration. One bathroom has a Jacuzzi whirlpool bathtub, and the other has a shower.
Stairs lead up from the living room to the top floor of the apartment, where a second living room is located. This room has wood beam ceilings and terracotta floors, and is equipped with sofas and a satellite TV. A large glass wall partition opens into an external, covered terrace that offers incredible views of Siena and the countryside beyond.
