This stone villa was built on the ruins of an 11th century church just outside a nearby medieval hamlet. The villa is situated on a green plateau surrounded by the Apennine Mountains and has 360? views of the countryside below. Surrounded by 10 acres of private grounds with woodlands, Villa Tiberina is in a peaceful and private setting. The property also features a private infinity swimming pool and lovely gardens.

The villa is set into the hillside and gracefully develops on various levels. The rooms are well furnished and feature handmade cotto tile floors and wood-beam ceilings. The main entrance is into the sitting room, with glass doors to the terrace. Up two steps is the spacious living room with fireplace. Also on this floor are the master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a TV room with satellite TV. The two twin bedrooms each have a private bathroom (one ensuite) and are located on an upper floor. There is an internal stereo system with music throughout most of the villa.

The spacious, well-equipped central kitchen is located on a lower floor. A large open archway leads into the dining room; each room has two glass doors opening onto the furnished outdoor terrace for alfresco dining. The terrace has a barbeque and a pergola, all with spectacular views of the countryside. Also on this lower level are a double bedroom and a bathroom.

Maid service for 3 hours a day, 3 days per week is provided at an extra cost. A cook is available to prepare meals if requested at the time of booking. The doors and windows have screens, and all bedrooms have ceiling fans. There is a laundry room with a washing machine.

As the villa develops on various levels with many steps, it is not ideal for young children.

The villa is located in walking distance of a small medieval hamlet with a general food store, restaurant, and pizzeria. The larger town of Monterchi is 7 miles away, and Citta’ di Castello, with all shops, is about 10 miles away.
